Just rented a Wagoneer from Enterprise to drive from GA to OK with my wife and 4 children. I was very impressed with the ride even without the air suspension. It was as smooth and as quiet as my '25 Limited even with it's SO motor-- still impressive although not as potent as the HO in my Limited.

I got 17 mpg average going 85-90 which is expected although our Escalade gets 22 mpg going 85.

Leather interior is very comfortable and the screen works great turned sideways instead of upright in the Ram.

My only gripe is -- why did they make the transmission front wheel drive dominant on an 4WD system instead of RWD dominant. When you hit the gas hard, the front would pop up (why I hate FWD vehicles). Ram stays planted of course with the RWD.

Yea, I had a Wagoneer rental last year in TX, drove Houston-College Station, and around town it had a tendency to smoke the rear tires through the traction control for some reason. Probably my right foot.

The one I drove was AWD (since no selector switch) but drove just like a front wheel drive vehicle. Some AWD systems ( like Audi) have used the front drive until traction is lost.

When I say the front pops up on acceleration, it is quite a bit -- feels just like every other FWD vehicle I've driven. Maybe the front struts are just a little too soft for the weight of the vehicle -- ( our Escalde and my Ram does't do this).

It just doesn't drive like a RWD vehicle -- just wondering if anyone else had experienced this.

Not really. Rented one several months back. "Reserved" a mini-van, but the only similar veh avail was a Wagoneer. Was pleasantly surprised with it. It's a full time 4WD system and yes, it can send 60% of it's power to the front wheels if need, but it's by no means front wheel drive bias (quadra trac I). It drove solid and I could feel the surefootedness of the full time four wheel drive. I've always had an AWD vehicle in the stable. Only one FWD biased system, Honda Pilot, and on that one, you could tell it was FWD. Not by much, but it was noticeable.

We had a '17 XC90 Volvo with AWD and it drove like a FWD vehicle -- lots of torque steer. The Wagoneer drove the same way minus the torque steer. I loved everything else about it. Like you said, pleasantly surprised by the overall package.
