So I've been having the normal CAN bus issues for couple months. flashing odometer, check engine light. Stop reset, give couple days and it resets. I checked code and shows MY24 was last update of software and dealer first told me new software is in process. Then I gave him the full story.
Last week was hot in MI and while driving lost full display, AC, rear camera link, and funny the window switches stopped and mirrors folded in. WHILE DRIVING. It was 95F and without AC and any chance to open windows the situation went bad pretty fast. I think maybe more than the display is gone, so I finally pushed and got into dealer this morning.
On way to dealer, a funny message popped up and it stayed there the whole time and the service advisor was impressed...he hadn't seen that one. He plugged into OBD and had 2 pages or codes.
I pushed for real this time. I've never had any issues of this sort in over 15 Jeep/Ram/Chrysler/Dodge vehicles. The rear camera outage is a safety issue for sure. The AC shutdown and window lock in 95F while driving is really outside my scope. I trust this dealership group to do the right thing. I will update. It seems to happen more often when hot ambient outside. Anyone see this before? Any experience?
