IMG_3540.jpegIMG_3539.jpegHi all - first post, first time truck owner.
Love my new truck but maybe a weird question and not sure where to post.

My engine compartment has what looks like insulation or sound dampening material, but it’s only on the driver side.
Should it also be on the passenger side of the engine well also?

I’ll post a couple pictures to compare.

My '25 Rebel has it on both sides.

Let's just hope that the foam they installed doesn't turn out the way it did on the Challengers from 2011-2014. They used foam in the panels for sound deadening and when moisture got in between the panels and foam, it eventually started rotting from the inside out. Just about when the rust protection warranty ended.

Yikes! For me, it’s not even the point of the cabin noise ( the cabin is really nice). It’s more that my bit of OCD wants it to be the same on both sides, especially after passing a pretty penny for it.

About the foam on the Challengers, I have a 2013 Plum Crazy SRT. I first noticed the rust bubbles 1 month before the rust warranty expired. The dealer got me scheduled with their auto body and of course they didn't do it the right way. They just sanded it down filled it and painted it instead of cutting it out, welding it then repainting it. So here it is 6 years after I had it fixed and I've got 4 rust bubbles popping through again. Nothing as bad as the picture I posted off the internet above but it's there, will be a future project and I'm guessing about $5,000 to fix right.
