So first let me start by saying that this thread is strictly for those who know how and have installed the TBC in their 2025 Ram1500 and for those who want to learn how. If you plan to add comments regarding any other topic..STOP!!!! Go create your own thread about your own issues.
So. 2025 Ram 1500 apparently has gotten away from the easy plug and play, under the dash install, and created a "Cluster F#@K" for us all. No surprise as engineers are just so smart that they are dumb sometimes.
SO the Switch is installed basically the same be pulling the UConnect .HVAC bezel off. There are 2 Screws under the little rubber mat up top and then spring clips that come out with pressure by pulling. If this is incorrect , please advise.
Next I guess the rear seat needs removed and the cover panel to access wiring and electronics where the TBC Module will live. Thanks Mopar.
The part number my dealer told me was 82219240AA which consists of the switch, module and wire harness that needs to be pinned out in the existing harness. The attached file is supposedly the instructions. So im looking for verification on that.
Last the TBC needs added into the Body Control Module coding which is basically toggling some certain setting which make it active on the Can Bus.
The dealer, by now, can obviously do this, in the past I have used my ALFAOBD to access and set these parameters using info found on YouTube videos, and had no problem at all with activating the module correctly.
So at this point does anyone know the items that need turned on using ALFAOBD software with is amazing, but you have to know exactly what your changing when using it. Also i know a security BYPASS cable is required.
i appreciate everyone's time
