Did Ram literally remove the Halo DRL and replace them with a top and bottom reflector around the headlights? I just purchased a 2025 Laramie with the sport hood and thought something wasn't configured properly..however where in previous years there was a led halo..what i see on my 2025 looks like a cheap bicycle wheel reflector strip on a 70k truck. Am i missing something?

Picture?

Not only did they remove the DRL halo they stuck plain old incandescent marker lights in the front. The taillights are even worse, I loved the amber turn signal and LED brake lights on my 2021. On the 2025 they went with two incandescent bulbs for the brake/turn/marker and an incandescent bulb for the reverse lights.

A little crazy for a 70K truck, I see other vehicles on the road that cost much less and they have LED lighting all around with turn signal animations. A Laramie is now a Big Horn with leather seats with a big premium stuck on it.

Wow, this is disappointing sounds like a missed opportunity to retain former customers and gain new ones as if from the price point to get these features i'm deciding on whether to get a Ram Limited or an Escalade..well thats an easy pick in my opinion and not in favor of RAM. Thanks for confirming....Do better RAM.

I wish I would have paid a little closer attention when I was looking for a new truck, since every other Laramie since 2013 has had LED marker lighting I figured it would be no different for a truck which I already had the same generation of.

Now I'm seeing Limited trucks on dealer lots that are not much more money than I paid for my Laramie and have a ton of extra features, having a bit of buyers remorse at the moment.

They sent a survey not long after I bought the truck and I basically told them the same thing 🤣 do better.

yea my 2019 Big Horn had the LED lights too, it was an option. Now my Laramie doesn't even offer them.

Wow, you just described my exact sentiments last week...i'm pretty sure were not the only ones..i told my sales person that if/when they come out with an upgrade option they need to cover it..he said he would but who knows when that will be...to your point shouldn't even had to have this conversation.

Lets hope RAM does something to make this right, even its it a plug and play option for those of us who have already took the bait.

I feel like since the Tungsten was introduced it bumped the Laramie down a notch but still my truck was stickered at $70,565. Just for comparison, in 2014 my Laramie was $48,000 and it had most of the options available at the time. In 2021 my Laramie was $60,500 and there were improvements like LED headlights vs halogen in the 2014, dual pane panoramic sunroof vs normal, etc. but for my 2025 I pretty much have the same truck as I had in 2021 except the 2025 is only Laramie level 1 (my 2021 was Laramie level 2) and about the only extra feature is adaptive cruise as standard (I really wish I could use my Comma 3x that I used on my 2021) but as with the marker lights I didn't know before I bought the 2025. That's my little rant for now.

If you think that's going to happen, I have some swamp land in Florida to sell you. Just sayin.

The factories have been pulling options for years. I remember how up in arms everyone was when Chevy removed the retractable underhood light on the trucks. Imagine how much money that put back in their pocket from that one small emission. The factory is out for them, and them alone. Any small thing they can change to increase profitibility, they will do.
