Hello guys,
I recently bought a 2025 RAM 1500 Big Hirn from Ryan Auto Mall in Buffalo Minnesota. As I am driving it home from dealer the engine light came on. I called dealer and they told me to take it in for diagnostic. They run tests and came to the findings that it have a code P0300. Now, the technician told me he can’t fix it because the engineers at Dodge manufacturing is working on a fix. This code means a misfire of one or multiple cylinders. Also it can lead to increase fuel consumption. This defect was first discovered in August 2024 but Dodge auto maker. I feel as if I was being deceived by the dealership and not told about this defect. Also the customer rep from dodge told me if continue to use drive truck it will stall. And when the engine light is on it will not start with the remote. I live in Minnesota where winter is brutal. I need to remote start my truck before I drive which is good for engine and defrosting during winter. I want to return this truck cause my expectation of buying a new vehicle is that there will be no issues. I am very frustrated about this and have to drive over 100 miles each time going to dealer and back.

It’s a software update, they currently have one for misfires that was released on October 8th. It takes 10 mins and you’re back on the road. Show them this

Will this software update work for 2025 Ram 1500 V6? If yes, why the dealer told me they don’t have a fix? Is it because they might not have the communication or they just don’t want to fix it? Assuming.

I would give them a little time to try and fix the truck. If it doesn't get resolved, look into what the Lemon Law's are for your state. If needed, look up Lemon Law lawyers in your area and they will help take care of the process for you. I have a friend going through this with a Honda right now.

That’s a tried and true engine and transmission you have it will be fine, lots of software stuff going on right now

Check engine light popped up this morning (P0300). ‘25 with the Pentastar. Went to dealer. They logged the code in my account. 2800 miles. If the code comes back, they will take it in and troubleshoot.

I just had this happen to me in my Wagoneer SO....cruise control module error code showed up and feels like a misfire. Stalls on backup...

I will print and show my service tech Thanks!

He is my ECM scan with the misfires. I have an appointment with the local RAM dealer Tuesday to address. I will let you know if that TSB and software patch works.

I bought my 25' Ram in August. My check engine light came on a month later at 1k miles. 5 days in shop and they couldn't recreate error. At 2,049 miles light comes on, but reset itself 2 days later. At 2,247 miles came on again (same code) and i dropped it off again with 2,288 miles. It has been in the shop now for 35 days with no resolution in sight. I think we are all waiting on the engineers at this point. GOOD LUCK!

Does the software updates work for all Stellantis vehicles with the same engine? My issue on Wagoneer with I6 SO...but this says RAM 2025 DT 1500 affected?

*****Also, this TSB replaced the October 8th bulletin that was at the beginning of this thread.

This doc reads the 8th doesn't/didn't work...needs to be removed then this November 1 update needs to be applied by tech.

Just got that code at 1860 miles.
Will see what the dealer says tomorrow.

this is updated from the 8th to include
● **P0325 - Knock/Combustion Vibration Sensor 1 Circuit.
● P0330 - Knock/Combustion Vibration Sensor 2 Circuit.
● P032A - Knock-Combustion Vibration Sensor C Circuit.**

From what I see

So took Wagoneer to dealer (I6 SO) and that bulletin showed potential causes...an air hose that connects the air filter was disconnected somehow.

If that hose disconnected throws the codes. This sensor can be dislodged when changing, replacing or checking for a dirty air filter.

My SA said this sensor new to the Hurricane engine and they have seen about 6 vehicles now with same issue...I will keep advised if I see the problem reoccur and this is not the fix.
