Has anyone installed the Mopar power steps on their 2025 Ram 2500?
The installation physically was very straight forward and went smoothly. The problem is that they are not working at all, no communication with the BCM or truck in general.
I tried to locate the SGM (Security Gateway Module) and use alfaobd or Jscan to change the BCM configurations, but I cannot find the SGM anywhere. It is not behind the Uconnect screen, not below steering column and not behind the instrument cluster where the dealer library says it is.
I thought the power steps would physically function whether you had the BCM programmed or not for the feature. It was my understanding that if you wanted to have it on the Uconnect screen (which I do) you have to program the BCM. These steps are DOA and do nothing. Also, my odometer is flashing, indicating a canbus issue. My wires seem correct per the installation manual and I'm scratching my head.
