Has anyone experienced not having any electrical power inside vehicle? Battery is showing 11.8v on voltmeter, but nothing inside cab. Aux battery is reading 2.6V.

11.8 is practically dead. A fully charged 12v with no load on it should read 12.8-13.2 . I've seen some other threads around about a parasitic drain occurring on some of the new trucks sounds like yours may also have this issue.

There should be enough voltage to put it on a trickle charger and charge up the battery. New school cars and trucks act weird when low voltage present. You might want to jump start it and see what happens, then at least you'll know it was low battery if it acts normal, then put it on a charger.

Aux battery has a high failure rate. Stellantis has learned nothing from their past and using 2 batteries.

I jump started once. Came back, and tried to start after running for well over an hour, nothing. All lights started flickering and eventually nothing inside the cab. Towed to dealership with only 3k miles on it.

Sounds like a faulty battery.

Is there any reason why we would not want to upgrade to lithium batteries for both, other than cost?

Not sure a lithium as the main battery would work in our truck. A 12v lithium requires a diffrent charging rate than a lead acid or agm. Would also have to be a heated battery or incorporate some sort of heated compartment for the battery to charge properly in frigid Temps. The tech on these batteries is constantly evolving though and what little I know of the 12v lithiums comes from the marine world .

Really good point point. I was just looking into upgrading my AGM batteries to lithium in my boat a few months ago and completely forgot that it requires a different charger.

@Johnmyers1500, what did the dealer find? Also, welcome to 5th Gen Ram.
Haven’t been seen yet. Just towed there yesterday. They said earliest they had was Tuesday. So we shall see. I’m seeing this is an on going issue. So no telling what they will say. And thanks!

Dealer found cause to be a blown main fuse. And two dead batteries. Dealer claims the only way to blow this fuse is to hook the jumper cables/jump boxes up incorrectly. Now I’m no rocket scientist, and I’ve jumped many things off in my lifetime here, but this couldn’t be the issue. They replaced the main fuse and changed batteries and truck was towed back to my house. By dealer. Saying work is complete. I asked why the fuse blowed, that’s the only reason given, even when I called to schedule the repair, I specifically told them where the truck was smoking under the hood with a burnt cable smell and the starter being so hot you couldn’t touch it with your hands. I guess that wouldn’t make the fuse blow. But I’m no rocket scientist
