2025 RAM 1500 Bighorn battery/electrical issues.

I have a 2025 RAM 1500 Bighorn with 600 miles. I left the vehicle at my condo in Key Largo for the month of December. After sitting for four weeks, the vehicle was totally dead. Nothing would turn on. I called AAA and they sent a Key Largo towing company to give me a jumpstart. The jumpstart was successful and I ran the vehicle for an hour and 30 minutes. However, the minute I shut it off the truck died on me again. I called AAA and they sent out the same towing company. Unfortunately, they were unable to start the vehicle. My plan is to have it towed on a flatbed truck to the dealership in Homestead, FL.

Posts on the forums suggest that the problem is parasitic draw on the battery. But I’m not sure why the towing copy technician was unable to get the vehicle started. Hopefully the dealership will be able to solve the issue.

Same here sat for a day dead. Put 2 new batteries not mopar

mine died after a day of sitting. I changed both batteries with non mopar. I only notice that the charging range usually stays near 14.2-14.5 when driving and with key on engine off it will show the voltage drop to 12 sometimes 11.8 ish. Not sure if that’s normal but no issues (knock on wood) since then.

Not trying to criticize at all. OEM Battery quality is suspect and so many computer systems drawing from the truck when it is “off” don’t help.
1- remove negative cable if not driving for more than a week
2- carry a lithium jump box with the truck. Dozens of examples on Amazon. I use a Gooloo 4000, about $90, but thats just an example..
3- As said, replace OEM battery with something better, yet its under warranty so…

Brand new 25 Ram 1500 BigHorn SST, off the lot on 2/14 and drove approximately 35 miles home. Got home with 44 miles on the odometer. I went into the house and had dinner and came back out to play around with the radio settings and such, NOPE! The truck would not start, recognize the key, no lights or anything. The next day, called the dealer and they sent a guy out with 2 jump packs to start the car. Nothing worked and towed it back to the dealer. This 60k truck made it 35 miles before crapping out. Dealer had it until Monday 2/17 and said it was the batteries and they were replaced. Drove it a couple of days and today (2/20) it is back at the dealership, CEL is on the dash and when the service guys looked at it the same issues that happened before started again. (no key recognized, wouldn't start, went into power save mode). This thing has under 400 miles and as been to the dealer TWICE in the span of ONE WEEK. This is my third ram, 2013 and a 2018, both ran great and traded them in with over 150K miles on them. No problems until the mileage got high but that is expected. Not this one..

Sorry to hear of it. I’d be very frustrated having spent 60K on a truck and have problems day one.

Seems the 25’s are having more than their fair share of “electrical” issues. Hard to understand (from a non-tech view) how so much could have changed, be it software or parts quality between 2024 and the new design. Maybe different ground points from one engine to another? CPU’s and associated other parts from a different supplier?

So many batteries are being replaced (some to no avail).
Can it really be that many bad batteries? Lot rot shouldn't be happening on 2025’s. (My 23’ sat on the lot for 6 months but no battery issue.)
This is really strange.

From my understanding and what's been posted on here, the 25s have an all new electrical system.

Must be cause’ there’s just too many new model issues compared to the 24’s.
