taking to dealership when possible and hopefully fixes issue
taking to dealership when possible and hopefully fixes issue
mine was the same situation, mine pulled after level kit install and realignment. although I did not take delivery until the level was installed. Why only 2025? My alignment was perfect before the dealership realigned it to spec. Then it pulled right slightly. For anyone that didn't read this entire thread, I got an alignment after installing the Bilstein 5100s and new UCAs.
There is a TSB that addresses this exact problemUpdates: I have had multiple responses from other 2025 Ram 1500 owners with the same issues related to their truck pulling right and/or steering wheel off-center to the right. I have been dealing with trying to get my own 2025 Ram 1500 for 6 weeks now. At first, the dealers were very involved for multiple attempts to correct it (loaner cars, etc.). The first dealer tried all day and eliminated the belief that it was alignment related. One dealer aligned my truck technically to the edge of specs to get it to drive "straighter" which made me at least "happier." However it seems like it is only now that nationally the problem is being recognized by dealers. With 2400 dealer spread out across the country - it likely will take time for the issue to be corrected. So far, my own experience has led me to believe that the pulling problem is related to the steering components or the "rack" per dealer terms. Possibly software related to the steering angle sensor or lane management system. I am not convinced it is completely alignment related, but I could be wrong. I sent all of the forum comments to my dealer and they have acknowledged the issue is now more widespread than later last year. The most "calming" part is the validation that more customers are having problems and I wasn't the only one losing my mind. The more comments from new customers on these forums will probably go a long way in getting those of us earlier "customer zeroes" on our way to a better experience with these expensive trucks.
This article says 2009 to 2015 rams , I highly doubt it's the issue people are currently havingPerform caster sweep after adjusting caster and camber, set toe and perform sas calibration. Road test, done.
A 6 month old post and I get to go back and see what you are talking about.... I did not reference any article. I simply stated how an alignment with electronic steering is done. Thanks for keeping me updated on an old postThis article says 2009 to 2015 rams , I highly doubt it's the issue people are currently having
I've had an issue with mine since the day I purchased it it seemed like the steering wheel was always a little bit to the right if I let go of the steering wheel it would pull further to the right and if I straightened it it would veer off to the left so after reading a bunch of forums I took it in to get the software TSB update thinking that would solve the issue but as soon as I got it back it was exactly the same so I went back to the dealership and took the tech for a drive after about 5 minutes he told me that he had the same issue that I had and basically bought the same truck and he just had to adjust the toe in on it and straighten the steering wheel so they took it back in and about a half an hour later now my truck is tracking straight so I'm not sure if I was having the same issue that everyone else seems to be talking about but it wasn't a complicated fix and they didn't sweep the Rock from side to side as stated in this postI'll be sure to mention the "sweeping the rack" part when I take mine in to be fixed.
I gave up on mine. Had 3 different alignments done at 2 different dealerships and my truck still is off. I have to hold my wheel to the left to track straight. If my wheel is centered, I'm going right. The tech at the last appointment just said it's due to the crowning of the road...no way. But this truck is only a lease and I will not be keeping it after the term is up. I've been less than impressed with it.I've had an issue with mine since the day I purchased it it seemed like the steering wheel was always a little bit to the right if I let go of the steering wheel it would pull further to the right and if I straightened it it would veer off to the left so after reading a bunch of forums I took it in to get the software TSB update thinking that would solve the issue but as soon as I got it back it was exactly the same so I went back to the dealership and took the tech for a drive after about 5 minutes he told me that he had the same issue that I had and basically bought the same truck and he just had to adjust the toe in on it and straighten the steering wheel so they took it back in and about a half an hour later now my truck is tracking straight so I'm not sure if I was having the same issue that everyone else seems to be talking about but it wasn't a complicated fix and they didn't sweep the Rock from side to side as stated in this post
