Hi all,

Lurker but first post. I'm trying to make a final decision on getting a 2025 for personal and business use. I have a car storage business that we are building up and will need to haul stuff and occasionally tow an open Featherlite trailer with a sports car, classic car or exotic. I also would be replacing my daily driver to go to my day job and to drive 5 hours south to visit my father, so long distance cruising is important. Finally, I am an audiophile (home McIntosh equipment with Paradigm speakers) so audio quality during the drive is somewhat important, and since I plan on leasing for 3 years, I'd rather not go to the work of redoing the system.

After spending abnormal amounts of time watching youtubes, reading and lurking here, I've narrowed my search down to two trucks:

Limited 6'4 Box, Night package and everything else basically (not a fan of the RamBoxes and getting a 6'4" for that reason mainly)
Tungsten with Tow Package

I do have questions...

1. Klipsch Audio vs H/K Audio
2. Much different payload? (I gather it's like 200lbs better at the most in the limited?)
3. For those who considered both and went with one or the other - what was your deciding factor?

Thanks in advance...

I have to say, I'm a part of a lot of forums as I have other cars for fun... this is one of the more helpful and respectful forums I've seen. So glad to have found this forum.

I went with the limited for my ordered 2025 Ram (damn you Stellanis for not shipping my truck yet) honestly because of the lack of a color choice in the interior. I'm not a big fan of that interior color scheme (I had something very similar in a Grand Cherokee) and I didn't care for it and for me it was a pain to prevent looking "dirty". That was probably the major driver for me...I would have probably gone tungsten is they offered other interior colors. I would love to try the Klipsch audio but the HK system i have currently in the 2019 Ram is adequate for me.

You cannot get a 6’4” bed on the tungsten. And the tungsten only comes with ram boxes. Thats why I ordered a limited plus I did not like the light interior of the tungsten.

Yeah, I'd order the 6'4" bed because limited forces you to do that to not get the ramboxes. Or else I'd get the 5'7" bed. Agree with the interior color just being one color. That's so odd. I would have at least allowed a black based interior. That said, I also like a lot of the other Tungsten features.

I ordered it early August. Was surprised it was built fairly quickly (completed build on Sept 13)...but it's apparently just sitting in storage now for the 3 plus weeks. You would think they would be doing whatever they could for revenue lol.

That's really odd. It's in the same country. I have another car coming from overseas and it's delayed too... but for some reason that makes more sense than in the same country.

In response to your questions...
1. I don't think there aren't enough people who have taken delivery on a Tungsten to for anyone to have formed an opinion on the Klipsch system. 2025 is the first year for the Tungsten and that audio system.
2. Payload depends on how the truck is equipped. But given that the Tungsten is the top model it's gonna be heavier. Although you might be able to equip a Limited such that the weight is the same as a less equipped Tungsten. Either way payload will be in the 1000 lb range like it is with my 2020 Limited.
3. I'm not in the market right now but if I was (and decided to go with Ram) I'd get the Limited. Main reasons are that I don't like how the Tungsten looks like an SUV from the front with the one-piece front end, and I don't like chrome. Interior color choice is also a big factor. As far as Rambox goes I'm a huge fan so that wouldn't be a factor.

Thanks for the feedback!

I really wish they had the night package for the Tungsten. I think optioned out Limited payload may be similar to Tungsten - which is not great but given it's usually just me and towing a car and open aluminum trailer... should be ok.

What do you like about the Rambox?

I have an optioned out limited with the 6’4 bed I am picking up in the morning, I will try to remember to check the payload and towing on the tags and get you that info on it.

First I like the obvious lockable storage in the bed sides. I can still carry 4 foot wide sheets of plywood or sheet rock when needed. But if you also opt for the Bed Utility Group it comes with the bed divider, which is just as useful IMHO. The sides of the rambox bed have graduated slots to mount it. And the bed divider also doubles as a bed extender if you add the necessary pegs yourself, which is very easy. Couple that with the MFT and a tonneau cover and you have what's basically a trunk space if you don't need the entire bed for stuff. I didn't like the Rambox until I actually used a truck with the option (2009 Dodge Ram 1500). I've been a believer in them ever since.

I obviously have no dog in the 2025 fight as my 2023 is just over a year in my hands…with no plans to go new anytime soon.
I had the RamBoxes on my 15 limited with 6’4” bed, I really wish they offered them in the longer bed now.

I like the ability to keep things handy and not rolling around in the cab. Jumper Cables, trailer hitches, tow straps…
I typically have a plastic can of snips, zip ties, etc. I can throw my bag with drill/driver and bit combos back there…
I’ve been known to fill them with ice and beverages a time or two…

It just helps keep the interior clean, nothing rolling around, banging, clanging, shifting…etc.
I typically keep my driver’s side packed full of said mentioned items along with a can of lithium grease (I hit my door hinges ever few fill ups), a bottle of washer fluid.

One really, really nice thing? I keep my snow/ice scraper in there. Get a good snow… then have to open your door to get the scraper…and have a bunch fall in/blow in your truck? Not the case here, just open a ram box, get the brush/scraper out…clean off your car.

I don’t tow as much as I used to, but I still keep two different hitches in the driver side box.
It’s just great storage. Yes, you have under the floor mat bins in the rear, yes… you can fold up the seats and there is pretty ample storage under there. But it’s out of sight, out of mind, until you need it.

Are they a perfect design? No. But it’s easily one of the most favorite items on my truck for me due to their versatility…

You either love ‘em or hate ‘em. My only gripe is they don’t make the 6 foot bed with them. I used to BBQ a lot. Now I can’t put 6 foot folding tables in my truck without the tailgate down….or having them propped up on a closed tailgate.

Also, as Miker said… the bed divider is very nice. Keep it towards the back, you can put stuff in the bed and it won’t slide up front, help secure cargo…etc. That’s another plus for sure. And the divider acts as a tailgate should you have to keep the tailgate down for anything…

Reviving this thread.. I was able to test drive a Limited Night with 6'4 bed... it's an impressive truck. Honestly, it is more luxurious inside than my 2021 M5 Comp. Which is saying something. That said, I was curious with sunroof, 6'4 bed, etc... how much less does it still weigh than the Tungsten? If it weighs less, I assume payload and 0-60 is faster?

I'm almost dead set on the Limited purely because you can get the Night package (not a big fan of chrome), but some Tungsten features are still nice to have.

I'm like you the chrome is ok but the Night Edition just makes it pop.

I was in the same boat. I was looking at a Limited night edition and loved the way it looked. Then got to thinking, for not much more, I could be into a Tungsten.

I then went and drove a Tungsten. The interior and Klipsch system made me forget about the night edition! Lol

Yeah, when I saw it in person.. one thing I didn't realize is the things on the interior that the night package brings. It just looks like badass luxury. My wife - she gets the Range Rover. She is like Princess Leigh in her Rangie. I get Dark Vader's Pickup Truck. I wish they had a night option and longer bed option on the Tungsten.

I really need to sample this Klipsch system.
