Coming from a heavily modified 2019 HK system so I have a lot of experience here, but am reading there are some major changes to the 2025+ models with HK system.

Not sure I'm going to even attempt a stereo overhaul, but am curious if anyone has summarized the differences between pre 2025 HK system and post 2025.

Can an aftermarket amp and sub be added without disabling ANC?

Anyone still using the CDT 6x9s?

Thanks in advance. (Due to breakdowns, I have to upgrade to a 2025 Rebel ...).

yes on CDT's and amp replacement can still be done but the amp or DSP will have to accept high level inputs
something like these
So you are basically taking using line level inputs on the amps and the factory processing will be there. Kind of makes DSP difficult. Doesn't look like there is a PAC Ampro Device at all.

Are you running the cdts off the stock HK amp?

What is the impedance of the door speakers and dash speakers?

i have had CDT's but i decided to go with kenwood KFC-XP6903C.
no stock amp. i have a 2019 had the alpine i have a dsp my friend has a 2023 limited with the hk he has a amp pro. both of us replaced everything but the head unit

I just had an amp, subs, audio control LOC, and lithium battery for the amp installed today. It hits really hard and loud. I left the stock speakers alone and on the stock HK amps, and they keep up with the bass just fine. I’m glad I didn’t opt to buy amps and new speakers for everything.

Details...details please. Lol. What amp, subs, and box did you go with. The stock HK system sounds really good on the 25s! I'm impressed actually.

Could use a little extra on the low end.

Did you keep the factory sub? Did you have to disable ANC?

Rockford Fosgate Power 1500 powering two Sundown Audio X8 v3 subs (the v4 is the current version…I didn’t go with those because they would require a bigger amp) along with an Audiocontrol LC2i pro LOC tapped into the factory sub which was completely disconnected. A Titan8 LTO battery for the amp (might not have needed it but I was right on the cusp of needing it so I got it. ANC has to be disabled for anything that is aftermarket unless all you do is replace speakers. To disable just unplug it. The box was a prefab under seat box that they had in stock. I was thinking I would get a custom made one made at one point but now I don’t think it will be necessary.

This setup doesn’t add just a little bass….its way more than just a little. All mirrors shake, vision gets blurry and I’m sure I even saw the windshield wipers lifting off the windshield at one point when it was going full tilt. If you like bass those two 8’s will do the job. I had to get rid of a nasty rattle coming from the dome light, but that was pretty easy to do.

lot's of way's to skin this cat.....audio control has amps with the loc built in. the most effective improvement you can make to any stock radio is the addition of a subwoofer. leaving the stock speakers and adding/changing the sub was a good choice
this great amp for 350....high damping factor and under rated actually closer to 1000 watts

Yeah there’s several ways to go about it. I would have needed two of those amps though, so the cost savings wouldn’t have been all that much. The Power 1500 dyno’d at a bit over 1900 watts rms. And I think those subs could actually take even more power.

great amp's i have been a rockford guy for 26 years and still have 2 bd1k's that never had a issue. i swapped over to a A.C 1.1500 last year. just time for a change because of the size and i have always used A.C for processing.
