I purchased Steelcraft powerglide running boards. Ran the wire harness as instructions stated. It’s showing a CAN bus to tap into I’m assuming for the door opening signal to deploy the boards. However, on my 2025, I don’t see this anywhere. The instructions list it on the driver side, side-dash panel. I know there were some security changes/can’t use alpha OBD so idk if this has something to do with that. Any help would be appreciated

There is no can bus hub on the 25+ 1500s. Since the canbus architecture is different on the 25+ trucks I don’t think those boards will work for you without some kind of way of sending the signal that the door is opened.

So I contacted a local auto electronics installer and he had paid access to some web page that gave color images of the exact CAN bus hi/low wires on 2025s. I was able to successfully tap into them and the aftermarket boards now light up and open and close with the door 🙏
