So my truck is making a loud noise behind the lower dashboard., driving me nuts.
I have tracked it down to the small fan assembly behind this little grill in the lower steering column dash panel. I took it out and no noise. Put it in and noise. Curious as to what it’s for the assembly has some kind of plastic tiny sensor on it that goes to the board in the motor housing. Dont ask how I know that. Oops gotta get a new one anyway I guess. I just can’t figure out what it’s for. Truck runs fine with it unplugged. Here is a pic of the grill it’s basically just below the gear selector round switch. Any ideas? I just couldn’t take the noise anymore it sounded like the fan was hitting something but no.
Update, figured it out it’s the cabin temperature sensor. Weirdest darn thing I ever seen. Mopar parts had an exact picture of it and it looks to be used across many models. Hopefully I can get one.
