I recently bought a brand new 2024 limited longhorn fully loaded. I purchased it out of state and drove it home.
I did have an issue that took me a day or two to figure out.
When I first inspected the vehicle, I notice that there was a slash screen on the digital dash that said longhorn.(very cool)
At some point in the following 2 days it stopped appearing and I get this stupid message saying push the brake pedal and hit the start button.
At this point I also noticed the longhorn badge was not showing on the top of the cluster.
I was just going to deal with it with alfa obd but the e torque failed (after 3000 miles) and had to bring it in for that. while there I brought up the issue.
after a couple of weeks there the first time and about another week there a second time a star case was started with stelantis.
I spoke to a case supervisor because I was becoming a bit agitated with the situation (at this point Ram had the truck more than I did) and found out it was not an isolated issue and they are working on a solution.
this was a couple weeks ago and I'm still waiting.
I wanted to share this because I could not find any info online and I thought it was just my truck, but evidentally it is not.
I would note that the dealer did everything they could without very much support from stelantis, so if you have this issue, you need to call stelantis customer care and get on them yourself. at this point you have more pull that the guys at the dealer.
I will update as soon as I have something to share.
