This is my 3rd Ram and honestly I have had no complaints until NOW....

Here are my top 5 and no idea how to solve each one.

1. Seatbelt Chime cannot be disabled in the new Digital Dash. How can this be solved ?
2. 3 HONK on exit with fob in hand, just brutal. How can this be disabled ?
3. Auto Stop Start. So annoying I can't disabled in the software.
4. 12.3 Screen disables on most features in motion now.
5. Remote Start shuts off if you are below a 1/4 tank. I don't think me starting the truck will drain my last few liters of gas.

Been googling around but i would like a one stop fix for these things. Tech has made the truck more annoying than ever.

Hm, I have a 23 and remote start only turns off if the low fuel warning light is on.

Might help for you to turn on tow haul or leave in 7th gear. Yeah it won’t save but I think a programmer like a tazer can help with the auto start stop, and the 3 honk issue.

Seatbelt chime, Buckle your seatbelt. If you don't like wearing it, then pull it out and buckle it before you sit down

TazerDT can help with kill3hik and auto start/stop

Can't change the remote start thing. Once the low fuel light comes in, it disabled remote start. Fix is to fill your tank

1. Seatbelt Chime cannot be disabled in the new Digital Dash. How can this be solved ? Buy a cheater plug in.
2. 3 HONK on exit with fob in hand, just brutal. How can this be disabled ? It’s in Uconnect settings.
3. Auto Stop Start. So annoying I can't disabled in the software. As mentioned, aftermarket scanner/tool, or…simply press the button underneath the knob you touch each time you get in the truck.
4. 12.3 Screen disables on most features in motion now. Yep, been that way, most manufacturers, for some time.
5. Remote Start shuts off if you are below a 1/4 tank. I don't think me starting the truck will drain my last few liters of gas. Put gas in the truck. It won’t remote start when the low fuel warning comes on, or when a CEL is present.

Can the seatbelt chime not be disabled like the 2019-2022 trucks? Several videos on YouTube on how to do it.

I haven’t seen a setting to disable the 3 honks if the fob leaves the vehicle and all doors are closed setting on my 2022, but I do remember RamCares asking if we’d like that feature years ago. Have to check the next time I drive.

Every vehicle I’ve seen with start/stop requires a programmer or other device to permanently disable start/stop.

You may even be able to use a programmer to allow you to access features that are blocked while in motion, this is a feature for a reason.

1/4 tank of fuel shouldn’t disable remote start but having the low fuel light on will for sure.

Seat belt chime cannot be disabled due to the new digital dash. I’m sure a programmer will be able to figure that out soon, if not already, but I’ve yet to read that.
Frankly… I wear mine. Yes, I get that there are times when farmer John doesn’t want to hear it because he’s getting in/out of his truck in the field…

*For item #1, I recommend one of these:

*Items 2-4 can be addressed with Tazer DT.
*Not aware of any workaround for item #5. It is a little annoying, just have to keep enough in the tank the the walk light doesn't come on

I recommend against those. I have a permanent limp, and pain due to using one. There is a reason they put the buckle where it is. That extra couple inches of length, lets you body move farther forward in a crash. Even with seat belt and air bags, my knee hit the dash, cutting my quad tendon, and my head hit the rear view. She did hit me hard enough, it lifted the front end, turning me sideways, blowing both front tires.

Well, that is definitely something else to consider, based on your experience.

Your aren't suppsytonise that in addition to the regular seat belt, but for those who don't wear one at all, or just for a short backing up a trailer or something, clickt in and not have the annoying singing. Then remove it for when you wear your seatbelt

Rudrow, try holding your key fob against the rear door glass as you close the driver’s door. That stops the 3horn honk on my ‘22 Longhorn. I’m assuming you have a 2019 as it shows, but your title states ‘23 and up. So, if you have a ‘23, there is a way to stop it using AlfaOBD.

Thanks to Rocky Rohde for posting this. works on 23/24s only. I did this on my 24 Rebel gt. Thank god! It was so annoying.
