2022 Ram Grill Redesign

I am curious about the grille redesign for the MY22 Ram's. Seems to me they have severely limited airflow thru these tiny rectangular holes.
AND with active grille shutters.... I've seen coolant temps up in the 230's even with the previous year model design. I can't imagine how the 22 design
helps airflow into the radiator and engine.

Also, a few 22 models I've seen the addition of an 850W Engine Cooling Fan.... Is this to compensate for the insufficient cooling thru the tiny holes in the grille?

Also the MIDNIGHT grille looks like crap with the matte finish. Looks like a cheap Tradesman grille.

Wonder if more cooling comes from underneath vs the front of the grill.

It had the "active air damn delete" also, but I am sure that was a supplier issue, not a ventilation thing.

also the addition of the 850W engine cooling fan is strange. Do you now need an additional/enhanced fan to make up for the lack of airflow because of the small holes in the grille?

I doubt much of the cooling air comes from below. Maybe if you swap out the lower grille for one that actually has openings (ecodiesel version).

Do know but the electric fans usually don't come on above 25 mph so it'd only be low speed cooling . I thought all 5th gens had 850 watt fans? I've read about the 5th gen to 3rd and 4th gen fan upgrades and they stated it was 850 watt fan

i've only seen the 850W engine cooling fan option on a 22 MY RAM with the Hemi (non e-torque)
