2021 Ram Limited Trailer backup camera

Hey all

New owner of a 2021 Ram judt added the Trailer TPMS to it and now wanting to add the trailer backup camera ( horse trialer). I don't have this prepped in the truck. I Do have the digital rear view mirror.

Does anyone know what I would need to get a trailer backup camera to work and show up in the reverse mirror?

I am wanting to add it for my camper as well. However, my truck is wired for the 360 cameras only for Uconnect display. I have the digital rear view, but it has only one connection for external camera and presently that's connected to the camera in the center high mounted stop lamp assembly. Planning to order the Fakra (coaxial) cable to run from rear view mirror to rear bumper, bumper connection port, then another fakra cable and Mopar trailer cam for camper.

I have not compiled all of the part numbers yet as this project is on the back burner. I'll be glad to keep you updated. Pretty sure I came across a how to on the exact path I'm going down. I'll try and locate that for you as time allows. Hopefully someone could chime in with their findings as well. Currently in a lower service area and will be for a few days.

Hey!

Yes after searching into the wee hours of the morning I'm pretty sure I figured it out. Just need the Fakra cable, camera, bumper port, and a new 2 input 2500 mirror. Looks like the whole project will clost about 1500 with the possibility of getting some back by selling the single input digital mirror.

I'm just going to abandon the CHMSL camera for the time being and just use the digi mirror when towing the camper. Can't stand the digi mirror when not towing.
