I have a 2021 Ram 1500 4x4 5.7 Hemi eTorque. It has approximately 70k miles on it. A few days ago, it started to make a whining noise. From things I have read, it could potentially be the Idler pulley or the generator going bad. Is there a specific way that I can narrow this down without having to take it somewhere and have them figure it out. Also, if it is in fact the generator that should be replaced under the federal emissions warranty, would I have to pay any costs associated with this like labor fees?
