Just bought a new 2021 Laramie crew 4x4 and I love it. Never had so many gadgets in a truck before. I’ll never figure out all of the things the 12” radio thing does lol. The interior is absolutely beautiful. Black stitched leather seats and even the dash pad I think. Wood inserts here and there. Very comfortable to be in, and very appealing to the eye. However, as you can see in the pics my Laramie is rather plain on the outside. I mean, if not for that little badge on the tailgate you could be looking at a tradesman. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I had a 2014 Tradesman Express that was great. The wheels even look exactly like the ones on my old Tradesman did. Not what you think would come on a 60k truck. My question is, how can I spruce up the exterior just a little. Pinstriping maybe? Maybe something of a different color along the door bottoms? Or the fender flares? Upgraded wheels like 20” would obviously do a lot. I tried to get the dealer to swap a nicer set on but said they couldn’t do that. Anyway, thanks for any ideas.

Stock 20’s but the tint did wonders. Going to upgrade to 275/60’s end of year.

Agree with wheels. Saw a night edition in Home Depot, very impressive. Best of luck with your mods.

I’d say wheels ,tints, and how about running boards/side steps
Window sticker says dealer already tinted windows. Had side steps on the Silverado I traded in. Never liked them. They get in the way too much. Wheels, I agree with you. Gotta figure out who can do them right. Maybe a leveling kit too.

I picked up a set of OEM takeoffs on Facebook Marketplace for a significantly discounted price then sold the base BigHorn 18s to offset cost. Easy way to upgrade without spending another small fortune. Have fun.

We have almost the same truck but mine came with the 20" wheels. I added 275/60/R20 BFG KO2s, 1.5" Bora wheel spacers, Raptor 4" nerf bars, and a few other things that muscled it up. No lift yet but that's probably coming soon.

Looks great. I want to move up to 275/60’s toyo AT3 with a 1.5” front lift here before end of year.

I put n-fab nerf bars on my new Laramie last weekend. I’ve only had the truck a few weeks. Going to put a Leer hard topper on next so I can haul my dogs and other gear. It’s a work in process. It will be a month or so before I have the hard top on. Here’s a pic with the nerf bars

Wheels and tires are the best option to turn a plain looking truck into a good looking truck. Like others have mentioned, you can get a set of 20" OEM take off wheels and tires for less than half of the price of aftermarket wheels/tires. The offset of the OEM wheels isn't aggressive enough for my taste, so I opted for the aftermarket route. I sold my stock wheels/tires to my dealer for $1300, so I was only out $1700 for the new set up.

I had the chrome side moldings installed on mine. I really think it completes the look of the truck. And these are the specific OEM chrome side moldings for our trucks, but I've never seen another Laramie with it. The Mopar part number is 82215280.

I could have installed the chrome myself or let my regular paint and body guy do it. He offered for free. Instead, I decided to let the dealership do it because I wanted the side moldings in exactly the factory position. I even took photos of a Limited with side moldings for reference. The cost of the side moldings from the dealership was about $347. They changed another $140 to installed them. Total cost was around $487 plus $48 tax, totaling right at $535. I felt bad spending that much for a couple of lines of chrome. But I'm very satisfied with the result. And my sweetie like it, which is what is really important.
