Purchased around 4 months ago and had to use the rear defrost today. Noticed the passenger side only defrosted one line in the middle. It was significantly hotter than the middle sliding window or drivers side. Anybody experience this before or is this the first stage to the doomed shattered window? 3 weeks out of warranty and only 25000kms.

Take it to dealer. Only a few weeks out of warranty means they may be willing to do a goodwill repair

Those defrost lines are a parallel connection, for just one heating up means that the rest are open or that the single line is way lower in the resistance compared to the rest (manufacturing defect)
Do a visual and check for physical damage.

Dealership looked at it today and said it was fixed and working as it should. Got home and tested and they did nothing. Took it to another dealership and they said it would have to be replaced and is willing to do a goodwill warranty claim but not until December as they have used up their budget for goodwill repairs until then. We shall see.

Hope you got it in writing from second dealership
