Hey y’all,

I drove through a large puddle of water today (daunting, I know) and I got a “Service Axle Locker System” light? I wasn’t using the axle locker?

Another weird thing that points me to a connector or something is that now it is intermittent. I drove around a parking lot and now the lights are gone??

Another thing, I was able to enable the axle locker and the code wouldn’t come up. As soon as I disabled it, the code came up.

Any ideas?

UPDATE: for those in the future (fix/temporary fix):

Found the connection that goes to the rear differential, pulled on it, came out very easily without the use of the locking tab.

Started truck. Service light came on and didn’t go away.

Plugged connector back into the diff. Light went away, did not reoccur after rough test drive with use (on a straight line and slow) of the e-locker system.

Conclusion: bad connection, got hit with water or gravel or something and loosened her up, reseating seems to have solved it?

Short term fix: keep reseating as problem occurs

Long term fix: replace rear harness

CLEAN THE CONNECTION UP AND TOSS A LITTLE DIELECTRIC GREASE IN , SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS.

Agree on the cleaning, CRC QD contact cleaner is your friend.
I would only apply the grease to the sealing surface/o-ring of the connector, not to the contacts, it is an insulator after all.
