So in Oct 23 I got home from a hunting trip and my ram wouldn’t start at all. Bought a starter and had a guy put it in for me. No problems after until this year Oct 24 went to ND hunting and after walking we get back to my truck and click. No crank nothing. I assumed bad battery so I hitch hiked 45 miles to the nearest Napa got a battery and eventually got back and put it in. It didn’t start- we tried a jumper pack- jumped it with another truck and nothing. Then all of a sudden it cranked on and I high tailed it home watching my volts drop the whole trip. I left the truck running the whole trip. I got home and didn’t have anymore issues with it for a couple of days then we flew to Florida and got back Tuesday and went to vote and walked out and my truck wouldn’t start again. I’ve boosted it, tried jumping it and nothing. Volts read 12.0-12.5 but when I try to start it it sinks to below 12 volts. Starter I replaced is under warranty so went to the dealer today to get a new one but they won’t honor warranty unless they prove it’s a faulty starter. In other words need to get it towed to them.
Anyone have any ideas to help me here?
I’ve read about rf hubs and starter issues and the tech at parts desk said he’d wager it was the push button. I’m at a loss. If it is the starter then I’m worried this is an ongoing issue and it’s a time bomb waiting to strand me in a year or if it’s something else why are all these things going bad on a 2020. I bought it used with 30k on it no warranty and it’s now got 85k on it.
Any help would be much appreciated gentlemen.

Remote start won’t work. It beeps once and says remote start disengaged.

watching my volts drop the whole trip.

Sounds like a charging issue. Do you have eTorque?

And the truck won't start if the volts are low. It's just the way it is with push button start vehicles.

I thought so as well but how would that affect it starting? I tested the battery yesterday before I tried starting again and it was at 12.4 v.
which seems to be enough to start it because many other times it’s started at the same voltage in the past. All lights work, cluster works perfect and anti theft is working as well. I’ve tried both fobs.
Does the old hammer to the solenoid still work on starters these days? Honest question. I tried that also to no avail.

Something simple to do is check and clean the driver side fender ground connection, next to the hood hinge. Worth a shot.
