2020 ram 5500 regear

Hey guys just wanted to share some info. Just bought a 2020 ram 5500 with 4:88 gear ratio. Drove it a couple thousand miles and not impressed with the mpg so I had it regeared to 4.10 ratio. Well it threw check engine lights and codes. Took it to the dealership and they said you can’t regear these trucks. They gave me two options. One regear back to 4:88 or you need to get a tuner to change the ratio in the computer. I bought the ez lynk auto agent 2 and plugged it in and was easily able to change the ratio and have had no problems since. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me and I can explain. Another vote for a tuner... simple fix.
So why did you want/need a 5500? Towing big/heavy?
