I was out on the Washington coast, driving in the sand in 4 high when the "Service four wheel drive system" message appeared and the 4wd indicator light changed to "4wd serve". I felt the rear tires lose traction and came to a stop. I was able to get unstuck and we stopped for a while and the truck was off. When I turned the truck back on, 4 high was working fine and I didn't have any further issues.
Was this a one time thing, or should I take it in for servicing? Of course, the truck is 4 months out of the 36 month warranty.
