A few days ago, i started the truck with the FOB. when i jumped in the drivers seat and pushed the start button, the truck was running but my drivers seat would not move to the preset. In addition, the driver and passenger widows would not go down (the back worked fine), my side mirrors would not work (noticed that the drivers mirror was all the way out and whining away like it wanted to go farther, had to pull the fuse to make it quit. Oh, did I mention that the Uconnect system, climate control buttons and the instrument cluster had no power. I did notice that the lower panel with the front and back sensor switches and tow control panel would emanate a huge of light on and off.). I looked at all the applicable fuses and i did find that the internal fuse box fuses were all loose. i pushed them all in and properly seated them.

After some research i went to the driver's door control module. I pulled the door panel and removed the DCM and for sure it had a smell of burnt circuitry. I replaced it and it all works great, back to normal.

I popped open the module and sure enough the circuit board was fried.

Well I am seriously impressed with your diagnosis and capability to fix. Fantastic.

I wonder if water got to it. It resembles the RF Hub enclosure which we know is not water proof.

Thanks. The box was dry no signs of moisture. I also noticed that the module is hard bolted plastic to plastic with a gap on the backside. I figured it has to do more with vibration over time, opening and closing the door. I did add a dabs of RTV on the backside to minimize vibration and jolts.
