Hey guys so my name is Ally I'm actually in school right now working on diesel engines and heavy equipment and I'm honestly blown away that I'm having these issues on this truck I have a 2020 Dodge Ram Big horn 1500 literally just hit 100,000 three days ago just got my truck like two weeks ago my best friend has owned it for about a year now no problems, no check engine light nothing. yesterday I noticed the coolant temp sitting was getting up to max 226 since I've had it its only really got up to 210 max I took the truck to the tire shop to have tires done and after I left noticed the check engine light was on so I took it to have the truck scanned and it came back as a P0308 cylinder 8 misfire detected P0300 Random misfire detected so anyway I decided to go with getting coil pack for cylinder 8 and brought it to the house and started taking things apart well first and foremost I took the intake box off so I could get to the coil pack better and when I took the box off I noticed something shiny like coming from inside the hose that goes to air intake well I found there is oil in there I mean a decent amount inside this tube, so then I just kept looking at things and decided to take and check the coolant well to my surprise its literally crap brown and smells like pee so obviously it could all be many of things just curious on opinions on what's going on with my truck looking into warranty on engine and going to talk to dealership just wanted to hear from others if they have had these issues and were the resolved fairly easy I know a lot I have read on some people changing spark plugs helped some people changing coil packs helped and some neither helped so its going to be hit or miss here. I'm taking it to Dodge dealership Thursday its still under warranty so they are running diagnostic on it and then going to go from there. Also bought a scanner and took deleted the codes and now it wont come back on and it has to be on by Thursday in order for them to run the diagnostic on it to see whats going on to start the insurance claim to start having it worked on.
