I have a 2020 1500 that is getting code P0303 for misfire on cylinder 3. Took to local shop that preformed a block test that it failed. My coolant is also low and is presumed consumed due to a blown gasket or worse. They did not find any other leaks in the cooling system. The shop said they would not do the gasket and recommend a new engine. Called one local dealer that said it would cost several thousand to tear down the engine to confirm issue. Best case scenario would be new gasket worst is new engine. Does anyone have experiences with this, or recommendations of good dealers or shops in So California. 75k seems outside the norm for this type of failure.

Same issue here. 2019 Bighorn with 59k miles and coolant leaking into cylinder 2 creating a misfire. Dealer described it as a defective short block and recommended replacing the long block (part on back order). There were two other 3.6L getting serviced at the time I took mine in for the same issue, one with 80k miles and the other with 90k miles. I was quoted $13k to repair without warranty.

Open up a case number with Ram Customer Care. Not sure if it will do anything, but hopefully this seemingly manufacture defect will garner some attention.
