2020 1500 Limited with Air Ride - Lift Kit and keep 22" factory wheels?

Anyone been able to install a lift kit on their 2020 Limited with Air Ride suspension and keep the factory 22" wheels?

From what I've researched, I've only seen the Rough Country 5" lift kit that would support it but requires a 1/4" spacer. Called a couple of local installers and 1 highly recommended going with the BDS kit and the other does not recommend the spacer option.

I really would like to keep the factory 22" wheels with a 35 or 33 inch tire if possible..

There are a lot of discussions on here about lift options for the air suspension. The bottom line that I gathered is that the wheel size is kinda irrelevant. It has more to do with the tire size. The option I've seen discussed the most, and the one I plan to do, is the revel links (DIY version) and daystar spacers. People seem to be having decent success stuffing 35's under there and either doing very minor trimming, or no trimming at all. I've also seen multiple people using the stock 22's for this option.
So, if you use either the RC (5") or BDS (4") kits, you should have plenty of room.

I went with the BDS lift with 35”s. I did get new rims but they are still 22”s just went a little wider for the stance I wanted. All I had to do was some trimming on the inner fender liner on the driver side. No metal cutting.

I have no doubt you can get 35" tires in. I'm trying to keep the factory wheels more than anything..

You can keep your stock ones. I was only pointing out that I am running 22’s that are wider then the stock ones. So the stock 22x9 will fit also.

I’m having trouble deciding on the RC or the bds. What I’ve heard is RC has came a long way and is the best bang for the buck. Could you put pics of your truck on here?

The first two pics with the Wicked sign in it is with the airbags at Offroad 2. The rest are at normal ride height. My cousin own the Offroad shop and has had nothing but troubles with RC (he won’t even sell the kits anymore). So I went with BDS. No rub issues and the ride is great. All sensors and air bags work, including the self parking.

You can go with the stock wheels with out the spacer but you will need to do some trimming. They recommend the spacer to help from having to trim anything. I wouldn’t recommend a spacer.
