2020 1500 5.7 Hemi High RPMs and loss of power

Today when I left work my truck wouldn't go above 25-30 mph and the rpms would stay at 5000, and then the truck would stall and come back.

Engine light coming on and off with a P2172 code.

Has anyone experienced this before or something similar?

P2172 copied from an online source.
"The electronic throttle control system (ETCS) controls the throttle valve opening. When the driver presses the accelerator pedal, the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (APP) sends a signal to the engine's control module (PCM) telling the PCM how much power the driver is requesting from the engine. The PCM then commands the throttle plate to open accordingly. If the PCM detects the sudden and excessive airflow through the engine, the PCM will set code P2172. The PCM may also put the engine into "limp home mode", limiting the available power from the engine to prevent unwanted acceleration."
