So I've been experiencing this off and on for a few months. Get in the truck, push the start button and hear an audible click but nothing fires up. Usually, I just cycle the ignition off and try again and it works. This morning, however, the truck would not start. I hooked up a new battery and it still wouldn't start. So I got the bright idea to try the remote start. The truck fires right up from the remote start. So I get to driving and now my climate control only gives me "Hi" and "Low" options with nothing in between. I also lost my back up camera and ability to manually operate my side steps.

I've read all the battery issues on this thread but being that my remote start did work and a new battery didn't change it, I'm inclined to think it's something else but I have no idea where to check first.

Those should come back/recover in few hours, disconnecting the battery will cause that.
There could be a problem with the push to start switch?

All the options did come back. Now to diagnose something intermittent that could leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere....

The new battery is in the truck right?

How about a new key fob battery?

I put a new battery in to troubleshoot when it wouldn't start.

I guess a new key fob battery would be a cheap thing to eliminate.

Do you have a second key fob? You could try that one. Otherwise it is a CR2032 battery. Many 2019 owners have had trouble with the leaking rear window (me included) causing damage to the RF hub that controls comm between the fob and the vehicle causing starting issues. Does yours leak?

I am having the same starting issue. But the key fob battery in my fob is actually a CR2450. In your fob do you have to stack the CR2032? My window also used to leak but the dealership replaced the cabin bed light the caulked the crap out of it…but may be also getting a leak around the antenna cover…not sure.

My mistake. You are right it is a CR2450. Because my window was leaking long term, the cabling and connectors to the RF Hub were corroded and needed replacement. But mine failing was more catastrophic. When it failed, everything associated with it failed. Couldn't open doors, tailgate, raise/lower air suspension, none of the buttons did anything. No remote start. When I used the key blade to open the driver door it set off my alarm because there was no comm from my fobs with the vehicle whatsoever. Had to disconnect the battery to stop the alarm and tow it to the dealer. Yours sounds way less severe symptoms. But if you have an active leak back there, your RF hub is in danger.

Thank you for responding, I sus'ed it down to the RF module as well. A wise guy I was dealing with asked if I tried new batteries,...yes, yes sir I did that. Uh, I relayed the concern for that very same issue to the service tech when I had him on the phone. It should be covered by warranty because they didn't repair the follow on issues from initial problem...if they don't I will be a very unhappy customer. I was under the exact same assumption, yours must have taken a beating a bit longer than mine did...probably just do the time frame and the cooler weather...I hope you didn't get hosed friend.

So mine failed due to the water leaking severely during Hurricane Milton. I left it outside in the driveway. In the morning the RF hub was dead. None of it was covered under warranty. So the hub and cables, moldy wet carpet, the back window. Around $4000 worth. I made an insurance claim and they covered all but the window. I did the carpet clean up myself so used that money for the window by Safelite. Actually came out ahead by about $200 including deductible. If your window isn't covered by warranty (it's not by any extended warranty) I recommend going the insurance route for the RF hub damaged by a leaking window. Mine was covered because it was tied to the hurricane weather event. It doesn't make 100% sense because why would they cover the carpet which was long term not directly tied to the hurricane. But they did and I didn't question it, just took the money. Good luck with yours.
