Hi Everyone,

I have a 2019 RAM 1500 with 5.7. Last week my truck wouldn't start, was getting the one click from the starter. I replaced the battery, truck still wouldn't start. The dealership said they were booking a month out so I decided to see if I could fix. Well I screwed something else up, I tried to jump the starter relay to see if the starter would engage. When I did that I must've blown a fuse or relay and now the starter doesn't click at all. Does anyone know what I messed up? All fuses look good, no idea where to look now. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Starter relay 1 or relay 2 in the external power distribution center, or did you go straight to the starter motor yellow/gray wire?

Go to the underhood fuse box and check all the nuts securing the cables along the side. I know there are a couple threads bout this, but the search box isn't working for me. Several people have found them loose, and at least one has had a nut completely come off and disappear.

I tried jumping in the starter relay 1. After I did that I feel my starter is not getting any power.

I wonder if I fried relay 2 when I did it. I'm gonna check that out today...thanks for the help/diagram!

Or your starter is just bad.

I thought the starter was bad initially that's why I tried bypassing relay, after I bypassed the relay, the starter stopped clicking. I replaced the starter since then. I messed something up during the bypass and now the starter isn't getting power...fuse 40 is fine.

Brought it in today and was told it was the power distribution center, so I'm guessing the whole fuse box looking thing under the hood. Oops...
