Hey folks,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
My 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie have recently developed a symptom that I am trying to fix. My driveway has an incline, and when on reverse and turning left, the front driver has a hesitation / shuddering.
I dropped the truck at the stealership and just got a call saying - you were driving in 4 wheel Auto - that's not for regular driving, you should be driving in 2 Wheel (apparently this is what their master tech is saying). Of course that is pure BS. I have 42k miles on the truck and this just started. in 4 wheel Auto the front DS doesn't engage unless the wheel sensor detects a slip. Anyway, they are recommending other BS that doesn't make sense like - we can change the transfer case and Diff fluids and see what happens and of course they want to charge outrageous amounts. Those fluids were changed 2 years ago anyway, and if need be, I can just change them on my driveway for a fraction of what stealership would charge.
I am under Max-care warranty that expires next Feb, and I would like to get this issue resolved under warranty.
I am going there tomorrow and take the shop foreman out on a drive to replicate the issue. Has anyone been through similar situation? I know there was a software update for similar vibration on the right, but this is front driver only and only happens in very slow speed. Other than this, love the ride.
She has got 3.92 ratio with e-locker, bone stock.
