First time poster here. Bought used 2019 Limited back in early Sep. Day 1, get the truck home from the dealer. I play with the air ride settings, put it down into entry/exit mode. After about a minute in that mode it refuses to go back up, error message saying its cooling down. I put it into tire jack mode, leave the truck for 20 min, then it goes back to normal no problem. I tell the dealer, takes a couple weeks to get an appt. In that time I did not try entry mode again. twice on 2 separate highway trips while in aero mode it gave the "cooling down, service immediately warning" and dropped the back end. Stop, put truck into tire jack mode. 20 min later it fires up and rides normal. Notable - I put it into tire jack mode every night and every morning all 4 corners were up where they should be. Dealer says its related to the GPS/Nav issue with the 12" screen. They noted that "air mass was full" when they replace the screen at end of Sep. That evening try out entry mode again. it comes back up this time but take about a minute of the compressor running. I don't think much of it at the time because it didn't error out. But now that it got cold the last couple weeks, the back end drops, sometimes just driver side, other times both rear bags drop. In normal mode or aero or entry it drops, and errors out before it lifts generally once it got cold. But - for some reason when I left truck in my heated garage overnight 3 days ago in the morning I lifted it into off road 1. Now its been outside in the cold for over 2 days now and hasn't dropped or errored out. About a week ago had it at the dealer again, they tell me they think one or both bags are leaking, and requires a new valve/compressor assembly. Before this I had a land rover and was able to maintain and repair the air ride - easy if you accept the euro tax on parts. Also have a 2014 grand cherokee with 200,000 miles and the only air ride issue it has ever had is one rear bag replaced about 20k ago.
I guess I have 2 fears/concerns - 1st is that the dealer is just firing the parts cannon when they dont really know whats wrong. The dust cover on compressor and the boots on rear bags do not appear to have been removed. 2nd - Is this system so awful in cold climates that I should just delete it and be done? The cherokee has been drama free even in our cold climate where night time lows regularly get below 0F. If anyone has had a similar issue and figured out what the issue was please chime in!

Dude... same here on a first time post. So... your story here is almost the same as my 2019 Ram. Same issues with the compressor errors, truck drops, etc.. I have been working on resolving the issue myself vs. the dealer. Was able to pinpoint my issue as a driver side bag slow leak. So I did replace that, all the issues seemed to go away. Was taking it on a long journey to Phoenix from Texas, all went well for about 350 miles, when the truck posted suspension errors and the truck dropped in the rear. Out in the middle of nowhere I was able to get the truck to a small town RAM dealer, after waiting 2 hours and a $180 diagnostic fee (don't get me started on that) but they came back with, the brand new bag I just installed had ruptured - oh and by the way, you need new exhaust manifolds, they both leak. Give us $3400 bucks and about 4-5 days to get parts, we will get you back on the road for your x-mas trip. After picking myself off the floor, I asked them about driving it back home, they said it was likely okay- so we made the decision to buck that bronco all the way back to home (350 miles) brutal. Anyways, grabbed the Subaru and went on to Phx. Needless to say, I could not be more disappointed in RAM. 94000 miles and these kinda of issues is just unimaginable to me. I will get home in the next few day, remove and replace the rear ruptured bag (we will see how that goes with the dealer, suppose to be warranted for 2 years) and then need to look in to the whole manifold mess. questions - 1. anyone else heard much about unreliable bags? I heard that they are back ordered all over the place so it makes me wonder if they have a QA issue going on. The dealer has another bag in stock so I guess we'll see the weekend when I try to return it. I'm also hoping nothing else broke on the way home after that filling jar'ing ride home, I did pull the breaker on the compressor so it didn't run continuously but it was running all the time before getting to the dealer I'd assume. 2. After reviewing this site, it appears there is a deal with those manifolds, you gotta be fork'n kidding me, this has been going on with the engine for how long without it being addressed by RAM? again seriously?
