2019 dodge ram bighorn steering wheel switch and heated steering wheel inop

after noticing the left switch on steering wheel was not working and heated steering wheel was inop i took the truck to dodge for diagnostic wich was 204.00, just to hear there was a corroded wire under the drivers front sill plate, i asked the advisor how this happened and he said these trucks "inhereted" this problem and i asked him if there was a recall on this and said no.i previously replaced the left switch and clock spring and with no luck didnt fix my issue. my question to dodge is if the trucks inhereted this problem why isnt there a recall. so before you spend money at the dealer check that wire for corrosion first.
