I'm having an issue with my backup camera and replaced it with a brand new (OE) one. I'm still experiencing flickering/ occasional outages. I'm now convinced it's the cable. I'm struggling to figure out what the part number is for a new cable (2019 Laramie).

My local dealer has been worthless. It appears it's a coaxial cable that runs all the way from the tailgate to the head unit . I also cannot figure where the hell it is routed (it's bundled with several other wires in the tailgate.)

Can anyone help me with:
1) The Mopar Part Number
2) Routing of the cable

You do not want to replace the front to back wire harnesses.
I would do a visual for any damage or loose connectors.
If the harness turns out to be bad then I would just order a long enough cable with correct color code Fakra connectors from amazon and run that.
edit: you could also have a problem with the radio, alldatadiy has a trouble shooting procedure.

Have you disconnected and cleaned the connector at the lower edge of the tail gate. The one that is disconnected to remove the tail gate.
Also there should be a blank connector in your glove box for when the tailgate has been removed.

I have not. I'll try that. I did disconnect the pink connector at the camera and clean it. It helped, but it still periodically goes out.

I dealt with that issue on mine, I had to replace the whole tailgate harness. But there is no specific part number for it. And the one they sale, which is just the small coax cable, doesn’t work. The only way I was able to get the harness was from a friend that works at a wrecking yard.
