Hello everyone,
I recently bought a 2019 1500 with 130k miles. The previous owner was running a custom exhaust which sounded really good, but was also really loud. He swapped it out for the stock exhaust to take it to the MOT, and it's still on there now. Which is a blessing, since 90% of the time the truck has a horse-trailer behind it and they would not appreciate the sound.
After driving it for a couple of months, I wouldn't mind it to have a bit more sound to it, without becoming obnoxiously loud. I don't have the specs of the custom exhaust, but I know it as a tiny muffler in the middle section and no resonators in the back ends. I was thinking to swap out the 2 stock back ends for the ones without the resonators, but I have no clue what the impact would be on the sound.
Does anyone have anyone have experience on running the stock muffler without resonators?
Thanks and kind regards
Wouter
