I know tires are beat to death here and i apologize. I'm just looking for some clarification on my stock 2021 Ram 1500 with 18 inch rims. It's time for new sneakers. Came with 275/65/18's and like everyone else, I would like to upsize a bit.

From what I gather on Reddit and poking around a bit here, it looks like to me that the maximum size I can go on my stock rims, with no leveling kit would be 285/75/18 without any rubbing. Is that correct?

I might do a level in the future but not at the moment. I'm looking at the wildpeaks, duratrac rt's, and the BFG HD terrains. Thanks

285/75 r18 (35 × 11) on stock suspension will be a tight squeeze and require trimming of the plastic fender liner, possibly hit the frame rails or something else structural at full lock in reverse. 33" require no modifications. Judging by my truck you can fit 34"s with some minimal fender liner modifications. If you had a Rebel or something with the off road package you could definitely go 35"

Thanks for the reply. So I'm assuming I should be ok with a 275/70 R18 from a 275/65 without any problem. I'm wondering if a 280/70 R18 would work. Should still be 33's if I'm looking at that correctly. Anything larger would be too tight I suppose.

275/70 r18 will fit no problem. 280/75 r18 isn't a size, the first number jumps by 10

You're right, I goofed. I'm assuming then without having any problems 275/70r18 is the largest without having any problems with rubbing. 285/70 probably just a hair too wide then.

Yes, 275/70r18 will fit without any modifications.

A 295/70r18 or 285/75/18 might fit, but it will definitely require fender well massaging, and would probably find other spots to rub if pressed off road.
