My UConnect system had an update last night which seemed to be working fine today until it wasn’t. After driving for a bit I parked the truck and turned it off, when I got back in CarPlay wasn’t working I have tried everything to get it working again, I restarted my phone, forgot the truck on my phone, forgot the phone on the truck, have tried just simply reconnecting them, I left it alone for about 3 hours and tried all that again and still nothing it doesn’t even give me the option to connect CarPlay. When I try wired CarPlay that also doesn’t work. My Bluetooth kind of works, I can play music through the car but I can not control it, it says “unknown” on the now playing tab but won’t let me pause, skip, or rewind it through with the screen or the steering controls. CarPlay is also stuck on the song it crashed on but that’s only visible through the media tab.

2025 and $75k truck, this should not be happening. Do y’all have any other tips before taking it to a dealership?

Give it 24 to 48 hours, these things usually heal themselves with a little time. You can also try a factory reset of the uConnect unit, not sure how many customizations you might lose (if you have any). Sometimes a reset helps.

I agree this should not happen, but it does. I had no problems on my '22 after the last update, but the truck sat unused for over a day right afterwards.

And finally, if your iPhone software version is way behind, a CarPlay related update can get out ahead of what the phone can do (and vice versa, the phone can get out ahead of the vehicle head unit software). This happened on my '18 Challenger and required a dealer-installed update of the car to catch up to my phone.
