I am on my third 2019 Ram 1500. The previous two and many 4th gens before this have all had the 8.4 screen. The newest one has the 12". I do not like the 12" screen. Is it possible to swap from 12" to 8.4"?

I am sure it is. Infotainment.com has a kit to install an 8.4. I would imagine that you will have offers to swap screens from various members on here.

Why is it that you don't like the 12" screen.

im on the fence about the 12" too. i was gonna upgrade my 8.4 but it seems the 12" has issues.

The favorites aren't the same as the 8.4". Unless I'm missing something. There isn't a menu for favorite songs currently playing yo choose from. All I have been able to do is a favorite channel. Plus I've had many of the 8.4s and have gotten used to them, this is new and foreign to me.

I believe you can remember favorite songs just like the 8.4. I don't have my truck with me this week otherwise I would check real quick for you. I will be home on Friday and I will check and let you know.

Yes you can favourite songs or artists. It lets you choose when you select it. The 12" took a few days to get used to but I like it. It still has a few bugs that need to get worked out.

One thing I miss with the 8.4 is the fact that in my Jeep SRT when you switched Sirius channels it would always start the song at the beginning if the truck had been on for a while. With the 12" screen it doesn't seem to do this.

I can't seem to find the "on air" screen that shows me all of my favorites that are currently playing. I can select a favorite, but if I don't hit it within 3 seconds of it popping up I've lost it and can't get it again.

As for the starting from the beginning, the 12" will do that. I'll have to look, it's in settings. It's something labeled tune something. I'll look and let you know- but it does have that capability.
