12” Uconnect Upgrade

Hello all,

Hope this finds everybody well! I am looking to upgrade my 8.4” Uconnect system to the 12.1”. I have a friend that could get me one from a wrecked truck but I really don’t know anything about this process. Such as if it is compatible, do I need to have a dealership upgrade my programs, do I need any additional wiring harnesses or anything else. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.
