1 or 2?

Looking to add the Muzzy A/C valve “hack” on my 21 1500 with the 3.6. Been searching and cannot find which hose is the “in” to the heater core on the 3.6. Can someone help identify? The attached photos are the heater core hose. Is it 1 or 2 that is “in” to the heater core. I followed the lines, so they are correct as far as labeled. Just can’t tell if 1 or 2 is in to the heater core in.

I'm not sure it really matters. Blocking flow to the heater core is the goal, and if you close one side there can be no flow through the heater core. But I found this in a quick interweb search...

It really doesn't matter. The valve stops the flow of coolant through heater core.

That’s what I thought, but with all the coolant hose this thing has because of the MGU, I wanted to be sure. Thanks
