‘19 - GPS voice from Apple/android devices suddenly very quiet

A few weeks ago on a road trip I found that my GPS guidance voice audio from my apple CarPlay device started playing very quietly.

As a test, I tried it with my wife’s android and my daughters Apple; same thing. I tried with both Waze and Google maps. Phone calls through Apple CarPlay still plan at a good/normal volume.

I keep the radio volume on about 10-14 and had the gps volume slightly higher than that. Now though- if I turn the gps volume to max, it’s still barely enough to hear it.

I’m guessing a speaker somewhere has maybe failed, but I’m not sure which speakers the mobile device audio comes through.

I’m honestly not sure what other info about my truck I need to share to get any help, but I can share anything necessary.

You have to adjust the volume while it is outputting directions.

Yep, I know this. I cranked it all the way up while the voice was playing, and it's still barely anything. It used to get loud enough to be uncomfortable.

I was just in the truck and trying to pay close attention… I apparently have no audio from the driver door speaker. Not music or anything. Not sure how I hadn’t noticed before.

I guess I know what I’m digging into this weekend.

Before digging too deep, check the balance/fader settings. All output may be hard right or full rear.
