That's why I ordered my truck with the regular hemi.
Unfortunately, this regular hemi only made it to 1500 miles and needed to be completely replaced.
Now I have an 1800 mile truck on its second motor...
Update:
Just got my truck back and been driving it for an hour; I'm not happy with the whole process it took to get to this point but the truck appears to be as it should.
So, thought I'd give an update.
Motor arrived Monday, goes in the truck this coming Monday.
Hope to get rid of this v6 classic rental and get my truck back soon!
Probably doesn't matter which trim it is at this point of the 2022 cycle. They are probably wanting to finish up 2022 builds and get the 2023s going.
It will be interesting to see what models get the digital display, my bet would be on Longhorn and up.
Update:
So yesterday they found a motor and supposedly it will be here the 28th.
I am skeptical on that and so are the service workers at the dealership but we shall see.
Still, going from backordered to one being located is a success.
I'm cool with getting a new motor.
Lemon law here is 30 business days or 4x to attempt the repair. Most likely this will meet the requirements for lemon law by the time they find a motor.
You're assessment with the truck being special ordered is correct and it would take alot for me to swap...
As easy as it sounds, I ordered this truck and I was very specific. Not interested in anything with the same MSRP, just the exact options and nothing more. If it was a truck sitting in a lot and I picked it out, that would probably motivate to find another one.
