It's not difficult, will just take some time. Best if you take the wheel off along with the wheel liner. It's still a bit of a tight space you got to work in but it's definitely manageable without a lift.
Yeah, I'll keep looking until Thursday and if nothing, I'll drop it off at my local shop Thursday night. Don't want to create a bigger problem by ignoring it. Definitely sounds terrible though, and it's gotten louder in the past few weeks.
I sprayed all the bushings and it's still making the noise. I was thinking it could be the steering link but there is no play in the steering or any vibration.
Thank you! I'll definitely check both over the weekend. Not sure how urgent I need to get this done, hasn't changed the feeling of the truck at all, it's just a noise at this moment.
Does anyone recognize this noise by chance? In the videos, I am parked and slightly moving the steering left to right. I also hear it when hitting bumps or going over uneven roads. It seems to be on the passenger side front only.
Looks like I need a new exhaust hanger bracket and rubber bushing thingy for the exhaust hanger as both seem to be destroyed. Anyone know the part numbers by chance? No idea how this even happened lol. I appreciate y'all!
The only other thing I did on the truck was get ceramic tint all around(even windshield) and put a bed cover on it. I do need to find some tow mirrors which would also allow my power folding and blind spot monitoring to work. I've heard of some but I believe they lack the defrost(or heater)...
Does anyone have the part number for the gasket and bolts for the leak in the pictures below? It looks to be leaking like crazy. I'm glad it's not the exhaust manifolds.
I'm looking to see if anyone has run into this issue before, I have been hearing metal clinging and an exhaust leak-type sound when on start up and driving before the truck has really warmed up. I recently got the oil change done and asked the tech to see if it's the heat shields being loose...
I was wanting to do this as well but it just seems like a PITA. My 8.4 screen is delaminating on the sides from the heat I guess, but I was hoping I can just have the dealer install it.
