So update. Nice cool 36 degrees this morning. Perfect time to cold start the truck the day after I got it back. Remote started it and it turned right over. Idling upon start up sounded good....a whole lot better than before buuuut there was 1 slight surge of the engine that only lasted a second...
Called the dealer to make sure they had the update. They couldn’t find the tsb. Gave them the one attached below. They told me that they can’t push that update if it’s not throwing one of the major symptoms codes even if it fixes the P0300 codes which is total BS. Still taking it in Wednesday...
So it finally happened. Remote started the truck today and I heard it abruptly shut off. Went out and saw “Remote Start Cancelled, Restart Truck to Reset” Turned truck back on and the check engine light was on.
Code Reader shows:
P0301 (cylinder 1 misfire), P0302 (cylinder 2 misfire) , P0304...

Mine idles rough as hell when cold started which I’m sure is the misfiring issue but since I have no CEL I gotta deal with it until it pops on? That’s some bs
So not sure if this has been brought up and I apologize if so but changed out the incandescent bulbs in the taillights to leds today.
Owners Manual stated the bulbs for the brake/turn bulbs and the reverse bulbs were both 7740. So went ahead and ordered the leds. Got them today, changed them...
Here’s a vid of it cold starting. Still no check engine light and runs fine but still not a fan of how it sounds until it drops below 1000 rpm’s. 800 miles in so far
Nope. Know really nothing about this engine so don’t even know if it’s normal or not but just sounds like it’s gonna go out on me when starting up. Other than that the thing is smooth as butter while driving and shifting
So 600 miles in and engine still sounds like crap when cold starting. Will rev up super high upon start and rev up and down continuously until the engine winds down below 1000rpm. No cel tho I’m expecting it soon
That’s good to know! I played with it during the test drive to see if it worked and that’s when the service message popped up. Havent unplugged it yet so I’ll give that a try
