    Battery died again

I ordered a faraday bag thru walmart. Yippie. Maybe it will help keep the battery healthier.

    Battery died again

I should get a faraday bag. That would help the condition then.

    Battery died again

No I don't but I have a dash cam that is plugged in full time. The draw on that is like a watch so this can't be the cause. Before I would shut it off when I parked it. The first battery died just the same.

    Battery died again

Changed the battery when the truck was 2 years old. 2 days ago it got very cold here in Tennessee and I didn't drive it for 3 days or so. After the snow fall I needed to check the mail so I tried to start the truck. The battery was dead as a door knob. All my tools were in the back of the body...

    LED Cargo Light Options

No they are plug and play. I have the same bulbs and they replace exactly like the bulbs you remove. Purchase a tube of silicone. Then on that rear light gasket just put a dab on the rubber both sides to make sure it don't leak afterwards.

Are you the original owner? Maybe someone worked on it.

    Tree sap removal (not heavy)

Be glad you had a clean truck. If it was unwaxed or not coated you'd be very ticked off. Sap is nasty if it dries on.

    Does my frame look bent/cracked?

I think it looks fine. Your cab line to the truck body line is straight and it looks parallel. I think if you had a bent frame you would notice it when driving. Maybe your steering wheel would be off. The body seems slightly lower than the cab, but that could be with the mounts. Maybe it looks...

    2020 1500 no Crank

My battery only lasted a little over 2 years. I changed it a few months ago. I notice it turned over slow and my dash cam which was plugged in blinked out when the starter turned over. The next time I when to start it I changed the setting on the speedometer to show voltage and it read 11.5...

    Amazon tow hooks

Years ago I was using an old bracket from some CB antenna mount that was under the bench. So that bracket would work fine and I went to slightly modify it for the thing I was trying to make. I put the bracket in a large vise and went to tap it slightly to a different bend. 2-3 wacks with a...

    Amazon tow hooks

I agree. It's not worth having hooks snapping and breaking a windshield. I bought Mopar ones. If I need them I'll hope they are strong unlike some cheap ones that are full of porosity.

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

No V8. No matter the HP the turbo can produce, it will never sound like a V8 truck. Plus the turbo is likely to be more problematic and naturally more expensive. These trucks are nearly outside the reach of normal everyday blue collar folks. I have no choice but to keep mine.

SPOTTED: 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4

    No V8. I'm not pleased.

Resetting battery life in ECU when changed

I ordered a battery tonight. Ordered another for her jeep which is a few years older. I went to work tonight and it barely turned over. I hit the switch and seen the voltage was 14.7 volts as it was running. I let it run for 20 minutes. Shut it down, clicked accessory and read the voltage...

Resetting battery life in ECU when changed

So what is the battery life on a new Ram? 4-5 years or do they fail sooner than that? Also if you do replace the battery like that video, and leave it dead for a few hours, will it affect your XM radio? I don't care to loose stations, I don't want the truck not to know it has a radio in it....
