They have already replaced my driveshaft due to "rust" making it bind up. This fixed it for about 9k miles but it is back and getting worse. This makes it seem that it is something with the driveshaft. Sone owners on here are reporting that greasing the crap out of the driveshaft fixes it, at...
Okay so this issue has cane back. Started a few weeks back and has gotten worse. Its been about 12k miles since they "fiixed" it with a new driveshaft. Really shouldn't have to put a new driveshaft on every 12k or so miles. Last time they told ne it had rust inside it that was making it bind up...
Have you had any issues with this? As much as I'd love the oem brake controller, this would save me a decent amount of money. Plus allow me to connect to our suv as well.
My truck was at delear for a month waiting on a part. Noticed the attached pic while washing it today. Never noticed that before and pretty sure i would've since i wax my truck 3x a year. Taking it in tomorrow so they can look at it. Cant tell if thats "bubbling" or if they damaged it and...
So far mine has been 600 miles and it has not returned. I will say the new drive shaft looks different, has what seems to be a rubber housing over the middle connection. Dont remember that on the previous one. The said mine had rust build up that was causing it to bind up, so maybe they...
Yes, it had added supposedly 50 extra miles although i feel its more. They apparently have to replace the whole cluster to fix this, i dont understand and i dont think the advisor did either.
Quick update. My delear has been working with FCA on this and they have determined that the odometer and pcm differ by 50ish miles(feels like should be more). They said they have to put in a new cluster, so am just waiting now.
Update. Been at delear for couple days, ordered a new rear drive shaft. Apparently there was rust inside mine that was making it bind up. Will see if that really fixes it or if it comes back as others have stated.
update. Took truck in a on Wednesday and immediately asked for a ride along so I would avoid the "couldn't replicate". Tech felt the shudder. They gave me a loaner car and they called today saying the are needing to replace the rear driveshaft. Have to order parts, so I will get my truck...
The odometer in my video is the main odometer that jumps. I have compared the trip odometer to the main odometer and they were not the same, which would reaffirm that the main odometer is having issues. Doesn't make sense why they are not in concert with each other.
