I’ve installed them on all my Rams and never an issue. Had them on my 2006 , 2015 which I owned for 6 yrs lifted, my 2021 and my 2022.

The update you talking about is for maps not the firmware. The firmware update is about 2gb.

What version firmware you have now?

In alfaobd, go to CustSetMenu 1: Navigation Turn-by-Turn CSM Present- YES. Reboot the radio twice by holding power down about 10 seconds and the option should show up in settings. Mine is working now with native gps and apple maps as well. Thanks to @Jimmy07 🙏🏼

My 2022 truck came with Uconnect 5 8.4 non nav and the VR/Answer/Hang up only works when connected to your phone through the radio. On my case since I use an iphone when you press VR siri will come on. Without a phone the VR does nothing.

I understand your pain lol. What I do is I wait to get to a complete stop and turn on the wipers on so the water runs down quickly and doesn’t get to my window. 😂

I just updated mine to the latest via USB and no issues whatsoever.

I upgraded my 2022 BTS Uconnect 5 non nav to Uconnect 5 12” and today upgraded the firmware to 27.46
