No issues with BT, always connected and calls worked fine.
Carplay has been more hit than miss since I updated to 12.1.3 iOS, but still not 100% reliable. Even though I have the "No Auto Play," set, it still switches away from XM to CarPlay when the phone connects, and I've seen it randomly...
I updated my phone, and it's working with CarPlay (iPhone 8+), it was only working intermittently up to this point and I can't honestly say this cured it, but 3 times out of 3 connections it has worked ... fingers crossed this was the cure!
I just got off the phone with uConnect support, there is a SB (discussed on these forums for other issues) called SB 08-003-19 that is supposed to cure the issue with CarPlay too .. having it installed next week, will let you know.
Hi Chippy, yes there are solutions, but non are as good (in my opinion) as a dedicated system with access to roof mounted antennas. Plus an OBD II solution puts the device in the most shielded part of the truck. Also, if my GMC was anything to go by, the ODB II connector is constantly powered...
Was wondering if I'm missing something, but is there an off-road display for the cluster that shows, angles (roll, yaw, pitch), wheel direction etc. for off-roading with the Rebel?
There's a whole other thread, but I had the same issue, plug the phone in before turning on the truck! Make sure the phone is unlocked and answer all the questions on both screens.

Don't give up, try different cables, unlock the truck, then phone, then press the start button on the truck, wait a little. First time the phone MUST be unlocked, also go to CarPlay on the phone, make sure its enabled to allow use while locked (settings then search for CarPlay is easiest)
Collected my new RAM Rebel from the dealership on Friday evening, extremely happy! First RAM, previously had a GMC Sierra. Fell for the RAMs rugged good looks :)

I will have to check out the settings for the fog lamps, I managed to get CarPlay working, I saw somewhere else that plugging the phone in before hitting the start button on the Dash will enable it, it worked for me, both my Phone and the wife Phone are working now. However this will mean...
Bought my first RAM Truck on Friday (2019 Rebel, no nav 8.4 screen), the salesman was doing the post purchase tour and setup, neither my iPhone nor his Android would connect via the USB ports in the front console nor the back, nor would they charge. Saturday morning the service dept applied 3...
